Since the early 1920’s when the United States Passionists requested and accepted a mission territory in China (the Hunan Area), Passionist Priests and Brothers of both U.S. Provinces, The Province of St. Paul of the Cross and Holy Cross Province, have willingly and generously given men of talent and profound spiritual leadership to the missions of the Church, as well as extraordinary financial and moral support to the mission effort.

Passionist Priest, Fr. Rick Frechette, C.P. is a Missionary to Haiti. Fr. Rick is also a Medical Doctor and is the Director of a Children’s Hospital & Clinic in Tabarre, Haiti.

Fr. Rick, C.P. also heads an orphanage of over 500 children in Kenscoff, Haiti.

Jamaica, West Indies Mission
The Passionist Presence in Jamaica, West Indies, goes back to 1955. The newly formed Diocese of Mandeville’s first Bishop was a Passionist - Bishop Paul Boyle, C.P.

The Parish of St. Elizabeth’s in Kingston and the pre-school of the Parish are ministries the Passionists have had since our arrival in Jamaica.

The Passionist Sisters direct the Passionist Retreat Center in Mandeville.

Honduras Mission
Fr. Lucian Clark, C.P. , Director of Passionist Volunteers International heads up a group of young adult Lay Missionareis who live the Passionist Charism and Sprit among the people of Talanga, Honduras. At Laventa, Honduras, the Passionist have “Casa Pasionista” our AIDS Hospice.

St. Benedict’s Clinic, located high in the mountains of Honduras, at Villanueva/Los Piños, furnishes health care to over 250 people a day, mostly women with pre-natal and post-natal needs and their children.

Philippines Mission
The Passionist Presence in the Philippines is very strong. Today, the Province of the Passion of Christ, with Philippine Passionists numbers 58 Professed members and 36 College Seminarians. The Passionist Presence is involved in preaching Parish Retreats and Renewals and conducting Retreats; spiritual direction for Religious; the education of Seminarians and Parish Ministry. The number of Philippine vocations continues to grow.
